Saving Web Sites

The essential element involved in downloading and saving a Website, is a WebZIP Task.  Tasks specify the what, where, and how, or downloading and saving a Website.

WebZIP offers two ways of saving a Website.

1.  ZIP Mode - WebZIP downloads and saves all items of a website into a single compressed Zip file.

2.  Personal Intranet Mode - WebZIP downloads and saves all items of a Web site uncompressed, within a special folder on your local hard disk.

In order to download and save a Web site, WebZIP needs to know the following:

1.  The Starting Address (URL)

2.  A destination - file name for the resulting Zip, or a Personal Intranet folder.

3.  A download method.  A way of determining what to download and how much to download.

WebZIP stores all this information within a Task, and provides a number of ways in which to create tasks.

Once created, tasks are placed within the Tasks List and can be scheduled, run, stopped resumed and deleted.
