Bruno Bernard knew Marilyn Monroe for some 17 years, during which time he photographed her, scribbled journal entries about their work together, and exchanged correspondence with her. After his death, his daughter Susan put together this book: part homage to her father, part homage to Monroe. The photographs, which span the period from Norma Jeane's early modeling days to the beginning of Marilyn's "New York" period, are accompanied by a mix of biographical text and Bruno Bernard's own notes regarding Marilyn. This is an excellent presentation of the evolution from Norma Jeane to Marilyn Monroe, captured through the eye of a single lens.

Marilyn at Twentieth Century-Fox by Lawrence Crown contains an absolutely fabulous selection of photographs from the 20^th Century-Fox archives, some quite rare.
Marilyn: The Ultimate Look at the Legend by James Haspiel is a photo-book/memoir by the well-known Marilyn fan and collector, and contains a wealth of uncommon photographs of Marilyn, including many of costume-tests from her movies.
Marilyn: A Neverending Dream by Gus Luitjers, though not printed on glossy stock, contains well-chosen, non-standard fare.
