![]() We know that she wants to find a way to employ her linguistic talents when her modeling career sunsets. "How?" we ask. "I'd like to become a translator," she says confidently. "Where, at the U.N.?" we ask. "Perhaps," she answers with a nod. She's got the gift, she explains, for learning languages, and she's anxious to put that gift to use. We switch gears again. "As you know, we're from SUPERMODEL.COM, a Web-based publication. What are your thoughts about the Internet?" She collapses in mock shame, bending forward to hide her face in her hands, then laughs. "I know nothing about computers. It's terrible," she giggles. She tells us she doesn't even know how to turn them on. After a moment she composes herself, then, attempting to be serious, tells us she sees the Internet as a very viable communication medium and vows to learn how to use it . But for now, we know she has other priorities. Among them are the magazine covers: Cosmopolitan, Elle, Marie Claire and Glamour (pictured). And the designers: Escada, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani and Victoria's Secret. Her proudest achievement, however, isn't the cover of a fashion magazine or even peering from the pages of the well-read Victoria's Secret. Her shining moment is having been on the cover of the 1995 "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit issue. That most coveted of honors endorses and verifies her beauty -- as if that were ever in doubt.
