Claudia Gets PoliticalClaudia Schiffer (pictured) helped advance the cause against breast cancer at a recent fund raiser. New York's perennial charity patrons assembled at the Hotel Pierre on March 3 to bestow a corporate leadership award on Revlon's Ron Perelman . When Claudia stepped up to the podium, she entreated all in attendance to sign a Breast Cancer Coalition petition. Destined for the White House, the written appeal seeks to encourage the government to be more forthcoming with funding for breast c ancer research. Always philanthropic, Claudia actively supports a number of charitable causes. She is donating all of her share of the proceeds from the sale one of her calendars to the Pediatric Aids Foundation. |
Tyra and Michael Johnson May Be an ItemWe brought you coverage of Tyra Banks and Michael Johnson opening a new Swatch store last December. At the time, it looked like the handsome couple was nothing more than good friends. We just learne d that Tyra and Michael were seen very much together recently in Atlanta. They were there because Michael was competing in the U.S. Championships. They were seen together at a Planet Hollywood party after the competition and were still together as they de parted -- a good sign in celebrity circles that love may be in the air. |
