Models dressed in bizarre costumes (shown at right) struck odd poses in time to festive tubular music. There was a medical theme upstairs with shelves full of watches under a sign reading "The Doctor Is In." Dressed as a nurse, A very attractive model exp lained the benefits of Swatch watches to those interested. An Olympic timing device challenged guests to see how fast they could pass their hands through a beam of light. In several areas, photos of Olympic champions appeared, as did the tourch carried by Swatch's president, Nicolas G. Hayek.

Throughout were displays with all of the various Swatch designs (shown at left). The event's decorators put multicolored watch faces in the saucer-like lights that bulged from the ceiling. (More)
