We found her at the Fashion Cafe during the unveiling of her new sixteen-month calendar. It offers stunning photos of Daniela on the beaches of Mexico. The invitation (pictured) is a clever mock boarding pass. We're off to Mexico it promises, if only to l and in a room decked out in Mexican motif and enhanced by a Mariachi band. The usual ambience is shattered by the excitement typical of a major press event. Photographers jockeying for position look like they're wriggling into a mosh pit.

Blaring TV lights suddenly spark to life as Daniela enters and steps elegantly before the cameras. Her name echoes all over the room as photographers try to get her to look exclusively into their lenses. She patiently complies until she looks like her che eks are killing her from the constant smile. This lasts for thirty exhausting minutes. Then all of the excitement dies down and the photographers rush off to their next photo shoot -- or the bar or buffet. We sit down and talk to Daniela and find her as charming as she is attractive.
