Once your Magellan GPS receiver has determined where you are, it can steer you anywhere you want to go. The receiver's display screen shows you all the information you need to know, and the keys allow you to enter coordinates and activate features.

To guide you to another spot, the receiver compares two latitude/longitude coordinate locations and calculates the direction and distance from one to another. Using the receiver's display screen, you simply match your heading (the direction you are actually traveling) with the bearing to your destination (the direction you should be traveling). Or you can just follow the directional arrow. When the arrow on the screen is straight up, you know you're on course to your destination. It's as simple as that.
