Properties Window

The Properties Window is available for pages, tracks, and beats. Pages have a Properties button at the top of the page that will bring up the window. Right-clicking on the track name in the Beat Design page will bring up its properties. Right-clicking on a particular beat button will bring up its properties.

The Properties Window is used to select filters to use or to preview, import, export, or clear a page, track, or beat.

The Name edit box is available when viewing the properties of a page or track. It can be used to provide a name for the user's reference.

The Volume button will bring up the Volume Control Window that allows the user to change the volume settings for each of the 16 tracks for the current page as well as the page itself.

The Preview button will bring up the Process Window and will produce a preview that can be listened to. This is a good way to test sounds and filters quickly.

The Export button will allow the user to save the page, track, or beat to a file. A page export file contains all information about the page, all of its tracks, and all of its beats including their properties. A track export file contains all information about that track including its properties and the properties of each of its beats. A beat export file contains its properties and if it is activated or not.

The Import button allows the user to load a page, track, or beat back into the project. It will overwrite the current page, track, or beat.

Import and Export work together to provide copy and paste functionality. In this way, pages, tracks, and beats can be copied or moved to other locations within a project or to other project files.

The Clear button will clear all settings for the current page, track, or beat.

The text box below these buttons on the page properties window displays the page number.

The track properties window displays the full path and filename of the wave file used by that track. It also provides the Wave Info button that will display the Wave Information Window for the current track.

The beat properties window displays the name given to the track wave used by the beat and the beat number. A beat cannot be given a name.

The Filters Used box displays the filters, in order, that will be applied to the page, track, or beat.

The Filters Available box displays a list of filters found when the program began. Some filters will not be displayed if they are only usable by pages, tracks, or beats.

The Remove All button will remove all filters in the Filters Used box.

The Remove button will remove the filter in the Filters Used box that is currently selected.

The Add button will add the currently selected filter in the Filters Available box to the Filters Used box.

The Insert button will add the currently selected filter in the Filters Available box to the Filters Used box at the selected location and will push all other filters listed, beginning with the filter selected, down in the list.

The Replace button will replace the currently selected filter in the Filters Used box with the currently selected filter in the Filters Available box.
