June 2 1997. European software component and tools supplier, ComponentSource™, has set up an agreement with Microsoft® to include its CDs containing hundreds of unlockable products with all quarterly European Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) product mailings.

May 21 1997. ComponentSource™ today announced an agreement with FarPoint Technologies® , a leading supplier of Active™ software components, to market their products on the ComponentSource European CDs. Products covered by the agreement include FarPoint's leading Spread , Tab Pro® , Input Pro® and ButtonMaker® . Each includes a VBX control, 32-bit ActiveX control, and 16- and 32-bit DLL controls, appealing to a wide range of development platforms.

March 24 1997. Today, ComponentSource™ confirmed its continuing partnership with Microsoft® to include its CDs with all new copies of Visual Basic 5.0 (English International Edition) sold throughout Europe.

March 21 1997. Microsoft® Corporation has teamed with leading software component supplier, ComponentSource™, to develop a special CD-ROM pack providing software developers with the newest Microsoft ActiveX™ component gallery, including over 400 ActiveX controls, companion products and tools. This 4-CD pack has been developed to support the launch of Microsoft Visual Tools which will be formally announced at the Microsoft Developer Day (DevDay) events during March.

16 August 1996. UK based software component supplier, ComponentSource, is launching its latest CD with over 250 ActiveX controls, software components and companion products into the rest of Europe.

5 August 1996. European component supplier, ComponentSource, has introduced a new potential revenue stream that will benefit software houses and freelance developers making their own software components.

2 July 1996. In response to an increased demand for certified Microsoft professionals, Microsoft have joined forces with component supplier ComponentSource, to deliver their Mastering Series training courseware using a unique set of three CDs. Each of the 3 courses, (Mastering Visual Basic, Visual C++ and Access Programming), offers in-depth interactive training and is designed for experienced developers, as well as developers starting from scratch. The aim of the CDs is to provide all the details necessary to pass the Microsoft certification exam.

4 March 1996. Developers can now use a compact disk to instantly access full retail versions and demonstrations of Visual Basic components. The first of its kind in the world, the new CD, (available on request), is being launched by a newly founded company, ComponentSource and is aimed at corporate IT developers, software houses and contract software professionals.
