Notepad and Meeting Minutes
Sometimes you will want to add notes to a folder, for example if you speak to a client out of office hours or if you simply want to make a note of something concerning the client. When you click the Notepad icon you will be able to enter general notes which are then saved in the contact's folder. |

To record Meeting Minutes, click the drop-arrow next to the Notepad button and select Meeting Minutes from the menu which appears. A screen similar to the Notepad screen will appear, with the addition that you can say who was present at the meeting (a combination of TCM users and database contacts) and what times it started and finished. The minutes will then be saved into every folder for everyone present at the meeting. |

Using Templates | ||
After a while of making notes you'll probably discover that you keep typing in the same notes over and over: He was interested in our product, She asked me to call tomorrow and arrange a meeting.

TCM allows you to create Templates which wrap around the Notes screen (and most other TCM screens) to speed up note-taking. When you click a Template button it can either auto-type a comment such as 'There was no reply so I left a message', or present a list of phrases for you to choose from.
Setting reminders | ||
When you record notes or meeting minutes, you may want to arrange a follow-up meeting or phonecall, and this can be done via the Rescheduler.

To schedule a return call for example, click the Rescheduler button and you will be able to set the date and time of a return call. You can also view your diary from the Rescheduler if you want to check that you are calling at a convenient time. |
