Converting (Encoding) WAV to MP3

 

To convert WAV to MP3, access the conversion panel by pressing F5 (or click the Conversions menu and click Convert WAV to MP3.) A screen-capture of the conversion panel is shown below.

 

 

Next, click the WAV-to-MP3 button and select the source file(s) to convert. Each converted file is created in the same directory as the source and is the same filename less the extension, which is changed to MP3.

 

Important Note: This option currently works only with 44.1 KHz sample rate, 16 Bit sample depth stereo WAV files.
