Plus live image maps with user-defined "live areas" that stay highlighted during their selection with PageCharmer's "Tab Mode". Plus, optional pop-up menus that animate when a cursor rolls over them. Finally, live scrolling text and graphic tickers with complete speed, style, and message control.

Multi-Media Buttons

PageCharmer includes three different types of designer buttons:

LiveG-Button: Give your Web page animated graphic based navigational buttons. Each user-defined button has a "Static" state, a "Rollover" state that is displayed when a cursor rolls over the button, and a "Clicked" state. Plus, a user-defined message can be displayed at the bottom of most browser windows.
LiveT-Button: Create text based navigational buttons by simply typing in a word or phrase. The text string becomes a rectangular shaped button with unique properties for the "Static", "Rollover" and "Clicked" states. Plus, a user-defined message can be displayed at the bottom of most browser windows.
LiveGT-Button: Create text and graphic based navigational buttons using a graphic, overlayed with a word or phrase. Complete "Rollover" and "Clicked" sound control is available. Plus, a user-defined message can be displayed at the bottom of most browser windows.

Animated Marquees

PageCharmer includes two different types of designer marquees:

LiveG-Marquee: Create multiple scrolling graphical messages in any size. Each message can have a unique entrance and exit effect and variable speed control. The messages move in a foreground layer (in any direction), while images (colors, textures, etc.) move or display in the background. Plus, a user-defined message can be displayed at the bottom of most browser windows.
LiveT-Marquee: A text message marquee with millions of possible configurations! Enter as many different text messages as you like, then set the text style, color display effect, and speed of each message. The marquee's size and frame are also user selectable with a click of the mouse. Special effects can be introduced with animated frames. Plus, a user-defined message can be displayed at the bottom of most browser windows.

Scrolling Tickers

PageCharmer includes two different types of designer tickers:

LiveG-Ticker: Create a scrolling graphical ticker with foreground and background images. Each layer can be moving or static. Plus, a user-defined message can be displayed at the bottom of most browser windows.
LiveT-Ticker: How about a scrolling text ticker that displays a customized message of any length? Font, size, style, color, message speed, and background images can be customized to fit your needs. Plus, a user-defined message can be displayed at the bottom of most browser windows.

Smart Image Maps

PageCharmer includes two different types of designer image maps:

LiveG-Map: Create an image map from any graphic, for multiple interactive links. Each user-defined area can have a "Static" state, a "Rollover" state that is displayed when a cursor rolls over it and a "Clicked" state. "Rollover" and "Clicked" sound options are available. A pop-up menu can also be defined for each "live area". The "Tab Mode" allows each live area to remain highlighted during selection. Plus, a user-defined message can be displayed at the bottom of most browser windows.
LiveT-Map: When you want multiple buttons, create a text based image map. Each text string becomes a rectangular shaped button with unique properties for "Rollover" and "Clicked" states. The "Tab Mode" allows each hot spot to remain highlighted during selection. Plus, a user-defined message can be displayed at the bottom of most browser windows.

Installing PageCharmer

Before continuing, make sure to have the following:

Next, open the file named "PageCharmer.html" in your browser, and follow the instructions--or simply click here to do it now). This page will verify that you have Java turned "on" in your browser. There is a red button that appears only if Java is turned on. Once you see the button, go ahead and click it. This button takes you to the PageCharmer Index page. Do just as it says, "Bookmark this page now" or set it as one of your Favorites.

Learning PageCharmer

Every time you want to design a new applet, simply come back to the PageCharmer Index page and choose the applet type you wish to create by clicking on its name. When the particular page appears you will see an active applet and its corresponding AppletSet'r ready for your design.

We suggest that you read through the rest of the User Guide. It is organized in three primary sections. The first covers "Step by Step Instructions". The second section covers "Common AppletSet'r Properties", and "Unique Appletset'r Properties". Finally, there are detailed descriptions covering: organizing your site, How-To's, creating images and sounds, trouble shooting, and a glossary of terms and much more.
