General options define default Digital Image Pro options, including whether to automatically check online for product updates and the units of measure for picture sizes and rulers.
To set general options:

On the Tools menu, click Options.

To automatically check for product updates when you are connected to the Internet, select the Check for updates online check box.

To require pressing CTRL when zooming using the wheel on a Microsoft Intellimouse mouse, select the Require CTRL to zoom with Microsoft Intellimouse check box.

To set the default units of measure, from the Units of measure list, click the unit of measure you want to use.

Click OK.
