Save your pictureGeneral term that includes photos, graphics, clip art, and objects. Any photo or project in this product. as a new file when you are making changes to a picture, but don't want to replace the original picture. When you do this, Digital Image Pro saves and opens the picture as a new file, and closes the original file.
To save your picture as a new file:

On the File menu, click Save As.

In the Folders list, select the folder where you want to save your picture.

In the File name box, type a file name for your picture.

In the Save as type list, click the file type for your picture.
 | Optional: Set the file type options.
Note Some file type options may not be available depending on the file type you choose.
- Click Options.
- In the Color depth list, click a color depth for your picture.
- In the Compression type list, click a compression type for your picture.
- To increase picture quality, drag the Compression level slider to the left.
- To store a thumbnail view of your picture used for previewing your picture, select the Store thumbnail in file check box.
- In the Image dimensions list, click the size for your picture.
- To maintain your picture's aspect ratioThe ratio of the width of an image (or image area) to its height. An image with an aspect ratio of 3:1 has a width that is three times greater than its height. A graphic stretched beyond its aspect ratio will lose proportion., select the Maintain aspect ratio check box.
- Click OK.
