Insert lines and shapes to add emphasis to areas of your pictureGeneral term that includes photos, graphics, clip art, and objects. Any photo or project in this product., or to add humor. For example, you might add thought bubbles to pictures of your pet.
To insert a line:

Select the picture you want to edit.

On the Insert menu, click Line.
To insert a default shape:

Select the picture you want to edit.

On the Insert menu, point to Shape, and then click a shape.
To insert a shape:

On the Insert menu, click More Shapes.
- Do one of the following:
- To select a picture in the Gallery, do the following:
- Select a collectionA group of items in the Gallery that contain similar content. Examples of collections include animals, animations, and backgrounds., categoryA group of items within a collection in the Gallery., and picture type.
- In the right pane, select a picture.
- Click Open.
- To search for a specific picture in the GalleryA cataloging system in which pictures can be organized., click Find a specific item.
- To use a picture that is stored on your hard drive or network, click Look elsewhere.
Notes
- After inserting these shapes, you can change only the fill color, not the outline color or outline thickness. To change the fill color, on the Touchup menu, point to Color, and then click Hue and Saturation.
- After inserting these shapes, you can replace them only by deleting them, and then adding a new shape.
