Apply a designer edge

Designer edges add an artistic or text outline around an object or picture. You can change the edge width, color, transparency, brush type, and text, depending on which edge you choose.

Please click one:

Add an artistic edge
Add a text edge
Add a custom text edge

To add an artistic edge:
  1. Select the picture or object to which you want to apply the edge effect.
  2. On the Effects menu, point to Edges, and then click Designer Edges.
  3. Click Artistic.
  4. Under Click an edge, select an edge style.
  5. To extend the edge to reach all sides of the picture, select the Stretch edge to fit picture check box.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select an edge color.
  8. To increase the edge width, click a larger circle.
  9. Click Next.
  10. On the canvas, move or resize your picture, and then click Done.
To add a text edge:
  1. Select the picture or object to which you want to apply the edge effect.
  2. On the Effects menu, point to Edges, and then click Designer Edges.
  3. Click With text.
  4. Under Click an edge, select an edge style.
  5. To extend the edge to reach all sides of the picture, select the Stretch edge to fit picture check box.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select an edge color.
  8. To increase the edge width, click a larger circle.
  9. Click Next.
  10. On the canvas, move or resize your picture, and then click Done.
To add an edge containing custom text:
  1. Select the picture or object to which you want to apply the edge effect.
  2. On the Effects menu, point to Edges, and then click Designer Edges.
  3. Click With my own text.
  4. Under Click an edge, select an edge style.
  5. To extend the edge to reach all sides of the picture, select the Stretch edge to fit picture check box.
  6. Click Next.
  7. In each text box, type the text you want on each side of your picture, and then click Next.
  8. Select an edge color.
  9. To increase the edge width, click a larger circle.
  10. Click Next.
  11. On the canvas, move or resize your picture, and then click Done.
