UNITS
Creatures of Lasheron
Various types of creatures live in and around Lasheron. Certain races have sworn
their total allegiance to Zargon, while others races are waiting see if the Alliance can
overthrow him. Other species have vowed to join the Alliance if Zargon invades their
lands, and some of these creatures are more than willing to fight for peace. All
they need is a leader.
JAKKAL
Jakkals are the prominent creature in Lasheron. Most of them live in fear because
of Zargon, but the Alliance is starting to recruit and train more and more of them.
Jakkals can be trained to be good warriors, wizards, or sorcerers.
Jakkal warriors are fast moving and swim well. Their vision is average, and their
armor is minimal. They can be equipped with a small to medium LASERs, small plasma
gun, or the short range JA-12 rocket launcher.
Magicians and sorcerers both fire a standard fire ball from their staffs. Both
wizards and sorcerers have minimal hitpoints, armor, vision, and speed. Wizards
mainly cast spells that are helpful to their team, but the sorcerer, more knowledgeable
with the forces of death, cast spells that hinder or even destroy their enemies.
DRAKKAN BAT
Drakkan bats originated from the area around Pyron, but particularly on Drakkan Point.
They were used in the army of Zargon because of their flying ability. Their
great vision and natural fire breathing ability has been a great asset to Zargon.
Some of them have departed ranks to join the Alliance. Their vision and speed will
be very helpful, although their armor is minimal.
GRIBORG
With the expansion of Lasheron’s technology, jakkals were able to create a strong
creature by fusing metal to organic matter. Because of their superior intelligence,
griborgs were put in charge of developing new weapons in Lasheron. Griborgs are a
slower moving creature, but their strength allows them to use heavier weapons. They
have good armor and good hitpoints, but an average vision and can not go in water.
Griborg FX-8 has brought the other griborg to fight for the Alliance, but a few of them
still remain loyal to Zargon.
WARHAWG
Although a warhawg is slow and almost blind, it is still a very strong creature.
They have good armor and hitpoints, and swim really well. Warhawgs can carry three
weapons and come standard with three small LASER guns. They can be equipped with
small to heavy LASER guns, plasma guns, short-range to long-range rocket launchers, and
the newly developed flamer. Warhawgs tend to keep to themselves and despise other
creatures, but they will fight with the Alliance because of a common enemy.
MUTANT
As the threat of rebellion from Lasheron’s creatures increased, Zargon’s army
needed a strong unit that they did not have to train. They started drafting these
creatures because they are a strong creature with an awesome vision. Their natural
skin is a strong reptile-like skin that gives them excellent armor. However, these
creatures are not the most intelligent creature; therefore, Zargon does not equip them
with weapons. (They have no idea what weapons are anyway, except for their
flesh-ripping, bone-like-knife and their gut-tearing claw!) When Zargon trains these
reptile creatures, he focuses micro-waves on them to mutate them. These mutants are
a good asset to Zargon because of their good vision, armor speed, and warrior attitude.
CONSTRUCTOR
Constructors are used to build most of Lasheron’s buildings. They have, also, been
put in charge of Lasheron’s forced labor because of their strict discipline. Just by
having a constructor in the same building, slaves work harder and are more productive.
A constructor has minimal hitpoints, armor, vision, and speed, but they can
construct and repair buildings.
DRAKKAN LIZARD
Drakkan Lizards, like drakkan bats, are from the area of Pyron. They move
extremely fast on their two hind legs, and they carry a weapon that can fire the ‘Hot
Rocks’. Although not very accurate, with enough of them, they can inflicted
heavy damage. The drakkan lizards are not very loyal to Zargon’s army, although
some have been drawn to him because of the promise of power. Besides being very
fast, drakkan lizards have above average hitpoints and vision, but they are lacking in
armor.
RAZER HAWK
These birds get their nickname from the RH-Razer missile that they carry.
‘Razer’ Hawks have a manageable speed, but no armor, and they can not take much
damage. However, the RH-Razer can target anything from a great distance, providing
another unit can find them a target. The RH-Razer has no tracking capabilities, but
they are very deadly against non-moving objects like enemy infrastructure. The razer
hawks joined the Alliance when the horned lizards joined Zargon's army. The razer
hawks have been at war with the horned lizards, as the young horned lizard's main food
source are razer hawk eggs.
BLOOD SLOTH
When Necromancer took control of Lasheron’s Badlands, some of the blood sloths
hid, but most were forced to join Necromancer and Zargon. Blood sloths are a very slow
creature, but they can carry the long-range, heat-seeking Genesis missile. Blood
sloths have above average hitpoints and good armor because of their tough skin, but they
move slow and can not swim.
ARMORED BEAST
Zargon has taken a large, reptile-like creature and have fitted armor over most of
their body to produce the modern-day armored beast. Armored beasts are mainly used to
defend areas. They can destroy single units with one blast from their Ether Gun and
have twin slug cannons ready to attack any air creature that rebels. They are hard
to kill because of the thick armor that covers most of their body. They also have a
good vision; however, they move slower than most creatures and weigh too much to swim.
BLACK MAMMOTH
A black mammoth is a large creature that originated somewhere around the Black Forrest.
They have always been against Zargon, but keep silent about it. With this new
rebellion, however, they have vowed to help rid Zargon from Lasheron. They have been
equipped with dual plasma cannons and are trying a new, advanced third weapon. Black
mammoths are a very large creature with really tough skin. They have an average
vision, but they do not swim and do not move that fast.
HORNED LIZARD
Young horned lizards run wild throughout Lasheron. To most creatures, younger
horned lizards are a valuable food resource, while adult horned lizards frighten creatures
enough that most run and hide. Zargon has used this knowledge and trains the adults
in his army. Creatures that come across an adult horned lizard better be able to
kill it in a short time, or fear the destruction of the entire group! Young horned
lizards are very fast, but they can not fly because their body weight to wing area is too
high. Adult horned lizards fly with their powerful wings and kill their enemies with
their natural, sulfur fire breathing ability.
SAND WARRIOR
Sand warriors live in the Desert of Bones. Zargon lured them to his army by
promising them peace from the end of the war. Sand warriors are a peaceful creature
and believe what other creatures tell them. Zargon equips sand warriors with the
Interceptor anti-missile, used for intercepting incoming enemy rockets. Sand
warriors can see well and have average armor and hitpoints. They also invented a
strange type of martial arts to defend themselves.
SLAVES
The jakkals use slaves for many different purposes. Slaves do most of the work in
Lasheron. They are a weak creature, but capable of doing most types of work.
Lasheron uses these creatures to mine gold and metal, cut and process lumber, produce
magic, and maintain the food supply. They are also needed to manufacture
projectiles. There are a number of groups of creatures that buy and sell
slaves. All buying and selling of slaves is performed in a cloning plant.
OTHER
There are other species that live in and around Lasheron. Some of them have
formed alliances with Zargon. Others might be willing to join Zargon, or the
Alliance, for a price. If the Alliance can prove that they can overthrow Zargon,
then some creatures will help them fight; otherwise, they will have no choice but to help
Zargon to spare their own lives.
