A postcard receipt is sent when the purchaser does not include an email address.
As of May 1997, Kagi is providing a postcard to every purchaser who does not provide us with an email address. We are doing this because a large number of Kagi venders have not acknowledged purchases via postal mail when their customer does not have an email address. The customers then contact us angered with the lack of response and then we contact the vender.Kagi charges this postcard to the product being purchased. This is a somewhat temporary measure. Kagi will implement a system where we can selectively send or not postcards on a per vender basis. Until that system gets implemented, we will send a postcard as default when there is no email address.
