Aperture Grille

The 'aperture grille' consists of less metal which means that more of the energy in the beam reaches the phosphor
and less is turned into heat. Correspondingly they tend rarely to Purity distortions and can offer higher contrast
and brilliance. Due to the cylindrical surface this CRT offers furthermore reduced reflections of the ambient light. Disadvantageous is the fact that this CRT is a little bit more sensitive to vibrations and therefore stabilized by two thin wires!
