Windows 95, 98 and NT 4.0

When your system first boots after you installed the modem the "Add New Hardware" screen should appear. Windows will search your floppy & CD ROM drives for a driver for the new modem. If it doesn't search the CD, or doesn't find the driver -specify the location of the driver as d:\drivers\win95 where d: is the CD ROM drive letter.

If the "Add New Hardware" windows doesn't appear, then click on Start - Settings - Control Panel. Double click on the Modems icon and choose "Add". Windows will search for a new modem and probably find a "Standard modem". Choose Change and then click on "Have Disk" and choose the appropriate model.

Game Tips...

In games such as Doom, Doom II, Need for Speed, Command and Conquer, and similar, the biggest problem is data compression. The first init string we would suggest you use is AT&F%C0S95=0 and if this doesn't work try AT&F\N0S95=0 as an alternative. This works in most cases.

Help! There is no driver shown above for my application

If you should find that you are using a program not covered by this list of drivers, and you need to select a modem from a list, try selecting a Hayes Accura, Hayes Optima, Standard Modem, Generic class 1 or Generic class 2 modem. Many of our modems will operate using with these modem selections.

If you have any queries about any of these drivers, or about possible drivers for other programs, get in contact with us at Sirius Technical Support.
