InternetSetOption Function

Sets an Internet option.

Syntax

BOOL InternetSetOption%(
    IN HINTERNET hInternet,
    IN DWORD dwOption,
    IN LPVOID lpBuffer,
    IN DWORD dwBufferLength
);

The actual syntax of this function varies between its ANSI and Unicode implementations. See the Win32 Internet Functions Syntax document for details.

Parameters

hInternet

HINTERNET handle on which to set information.

dwOption

Unsigned long integer value that contains the Internet option to set. This can be one of the Option Flags values.

lpBuffer

Address of a buffer that contains the option setting.

dwBufferLength

Unsigned long integer value that contains the length of the lpBuffer buffer.

Return Value

Returns TRUE if successful, or FALSE otherwise. To get a specific error message, call GetLastError.

Remarks

GetLastError will return the error ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER if an option flag that cannot be set is specified.
