Sets an Internet option.
Syntax
BOOL InternetSetOption%( IN HINTERNET hInternet, IN DWORD dwOption, IN LPVOID lpBuffer, IN DWORD dwBufferLength );The actual syntax of this function varies between its ANSI and Unicode implementations. See the Win32 Internet Functions Syntax document for details.
Parameters
- hInternet
- HINTERNET handle on which to set information.
- dwOption
- Unsigned long integer value that contains the Internet option to set. This can be one of the Option Flags values.
- lpBuffer
- Address of a buffer that contains the option setting.
- dwBufferLength
- Unsigned long integer value that contains the length of the lpBuffer buffer.
Return Value
Returns TRUE if successful, or FALSE otherwise. To get a specific error message, call GetLastError.
Remarks
GetLastError will return the error ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER if an option flag that cannot be set is specified.
