Page Menu

This menu groups the settings, which are specific to an entire page or layout. For layouts with image views, each image view level maintains unique settings. Changes made to any level (including the "Page" level) will not effect any other image views.

Text Link Properties

Defines colors and styles for text links.

If not explicitely defined, then the default for any text link is the normal link color and style.

Automatic Forward

Sets an automatic forward to a different page. The current page can be displayed for a selected time period, before the visitor is redirected.

This function can be helpful for self-running presentation sequences or after the content of a web site has been reorganized. Search engines or visitors may have book marked old URLs. Instead of deleting old URLs, set an automatic forward to the new address.

Apply Layout Template

Opens StudioLine Explorer. Drag a layout template onto the work space to apply it to the current page.

Include HTML File

During publishing, StudioLine renders all necessary HTML code to display the current page. Sometimes, server side scripts or other customizations have to be added.

During publishing, StudioLine will merge the content of the included file with its own HTML code. For the <HEAD> section, any included code is appended just before the closing tag. For the <BODY> section, any included code will appear right behind the opening tag.

Scrollbar Properties

This setting controls, whether a vertical and/or horizontal scrollbar is displayed in the browser window.

Show as necessary

An appropriate scrollbar will appear if the height or width of the document is larger than the browser window.

Show always

Scroll bars are displayed, even if the complete page fits in the browser window.

Show never

No scrollbars are displayed, even if the complete page does not fit in the browser window. Some content of the page may not be visible.

Controlled by browser

With this option, StudioLine does not set any explicit scrollbar options. The appearance of scrollbars is ultimately controlled by browser defaults or a script.

URL

Normally, StudioLine will use the name of a page and automatically create a valid web page address (URL).

Sometimes, it may be necessary for StudioLine to use a specific URL so that pages better fit into the existing structure of a site, or because a StudioLine pages may replace existing pages, which had been previously created by other tools. Reusing URLs will preserve existing search engine links and visitorsÆ bookmarks.

When entering the URL, omit the server name and specify only the absolute path from the root directory specified in the publishing profile. If the URL specifies only a path and omits a document name, then the default document name from the publishing profile will be used.
