This drive with an IDE interface gave some amazing results while erasing data from a CD-RW media. It took only 7 seconds to erase 650 MB of data. We tested it again just to make sure and got the same result. The drive took 23.10 minutes to write the 650 MB of data at 4x on a CD-R and 25.23 minutes to write 650 MB of data on a CD-RW media. The drive comes with a read speed of 32x, write speed of 12x and a rewrite speed of 8x. The complete package comes with the audio and data cables. The drive had a detailed manual with it and one writable (8x) and a rewritable (4x-10x) media. The software bundled with it included CD-maker 2000 and Sony software for CD burning. The only unfortunate part is that this drive isn't detected by Nero, the popular and widely used software for burning CDs.
