TPG Internet offers a number of Permanent Internet Connection services. Our Permanent 33.6K Modem Connections are available in all TPG Points of Presence sites. The TPG Permanent ISDN Connections are available in 64K and 128K servicing in the same areas. 56K Permanent Connections are available in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide only.

33.6K & 56K Permanent Modem Connections
This TPG Internet service has been tailored to suit small to large organisations including schools, who require a permanent presence on the Internet with low volume traffic. The Permanent Connection Service is charged in the following manner:

• A setup charge is applicable which covers all hardware costs at TPGI's site and IP address allocation, and there is an annual usage charge
• Customers also have to take into account other costs such as extra Telstra phone lines or line rental, and call charges, which includes providing the connection hardware on their end such as modems and workstations
• Please Note: That 56K Permanent Connections are currently available in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide only

 

64K and 128K ISDN Connections
These services are tailored to suit large organisations who require a permanent presence on the Internet with high volume traffic. The Permanent Connection Service is charged in the following manner:

• A setup charge is applicable which covers all hardware costs at TPGI's site and Router Port, Terminal Adaptors and IP address allocation, and there is an annual usage charge
• Customers also have to take into account other costs such as Telstra charges and hardware, which includes providing the connection hardware on their end such as routers if required and workstations
