December 1998 GameZone special!

Welcome to our special cover CD with the best 16 playable demos of 1998. We scoured the Net for the most sought-after games, then put their demos through a rigorous testing procedure. Since we had only one CD to fit them all onto, only those demos we couldn't live without made it.
Please tell us what you think so we can make the next one even better!

Remember that many of these games have special requirements, including 3D accelerator cards, so check out the requirements listed with each game. Windows games frequently need DirectX (for help click here), so be sure to read the instructions below and any Readme files included with these games. Download the DirectX 6 file \gamezone\dx6core.exe to your local drive, then run the program from the command prompt.

To try more of the demos that we couldn't fit, check out one of these great online sites:

Note: Check out our full-text search engine using ISYS from Odyssey Development. Find what you want on apcmag.cd more easily and faster than ever.

If you're new to the APC trilogy of paper magazine, Web site and cover CD, be sure to read these quick guides:

We hope you enjoy this special issue.
