Defining an object's anchor point

All transformation actions are performed in relation to a fixed point, called an anchor point, on or around the object. The default anchor point is the object's center point. You can set a new anchor point, and you can also drag an existing anchor point to a new position.

To change an object's anchor point:

1. Select the object.
2. Do one of the following:
• Select the transform tool , and then drag the anchor point.
• Press Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac OS) and select the anchor point. Drag the anchor point.

To reset the anchor point:

Choose Object > Transform > Reset Anchor Point.
