Setting transform options
The Transform options in the Object > Transform menu specify the way the selection tools and transform tools rotate, resize, and skew an object. Only one option can be selected at a time. The selected option is marked with a check. The following options are available: Default Transform Logic Automatically determines whether a transformed object should be in Shape Transform mode or Object Transform mode. For example, an object that has no animation is scaled in Shape Transform mode, but once a scale keyframe has been set, the object is scaled in Object Transform mode. The default setting for all LiveMotion objects is Default Transform Logic. Object Transforms When selected, scaling or transforming an object with the selection or transform tools will affect the properties of the object, such as a texture or style, but not its shape. Any transforms made to an object in Object Transform mode will set a transform keyframe. The Object Transform option may also be known as Post-Transforms. Shape Transforms When selected, scaling or transforming objects with the selection or transform tools will affect the shape of the object and not its properties. The Shape Transforms option may also be known as Pre-Transforms. ![]() Transform options A. Original object B. Object with Object Transforms option applied, then rotated 90 degrees C.
