Configuring Visualizations options

Use the Visualizations tab to change the properties of visualization collections. You can also use the Visualizations tab to add and remove collections.

Note   To add a visualization collection from the Internet to Windows Media Player, download the collection from the Internet first rather than using the Add button on the Visualizations tab. For more information about visualizations, see Related topics.

To access the Visualizations tab and change collection properties

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click Visualizations.

  2. Do one of the following:

You can set the following properties for certain collections:

Screen size

You can set the size of the visualization when it is in full screen mode. The performance of the visualization when it is set to a larger size depends on the speed of your computer. And the image can distort if you make the visualization stretch to full screen mode.

Offscreen buffer size

You can set the offscreen buffer size to adjust the resolution of the visualization so that it does not distort. However, the larger you set the buffer size, the harder your CPU must work to make the visualization run smoothly, especially at full screen.
