Caution: You should modify these settings only if you are an Advanced User.
CloneCD 4 is much easier to use than CloneCD 3 was. Many of the options you
could choose are not visible anymore. But they are still there. You could take a
look at the settings of the CD Readers and CD Writers or modify them if you
click on the device with the right mouse button. Unlike the Profile Settings,
the Device Settings should only be adjusted to your personal preferences once.
After all, the devices don't change with every copying process!
A window with its own Menu Files opens. You can easily find explanations for
the checkboxes if you click on the respective checkbox with the right mouse
button. Sometimes the checkboxes have similar names in the Read and Write
Settings, but may have completely different meaning.
If you by accident modify your settings and don't remember the way they were
before: Just click on the "Default" Button and the Default Setting
will be set again.
Use "Read retries", if your source CD is in bad shape.
Enable "Allow Amplify Weak Sectors" if your CD writer cannot "write regular bit patterns correctly".
Please check the EFM capabilities of your CD writer under Supported Writers.
