Unique to ZyWeb, the SmartTheme system allows you to pick professional pre-designed looks for your page. SmartTheme technology brings three major benefits:

The key to all this is that our graphics rendering technology will automatically re-generate all the graphics on the page for you, whenever you make any change. There is no need to use, or understand, separate graphics programs. A process that might take a professional graphics designer hours, can be done in seconds by you!

Each SmartTheme consists of a dozen or more standard graphic elements that can be selected to use on the page. Each SmartTheme includes graphic headings, buttons, dividers, bullets, and of course our unique SmartBar interactive button bars. All the elements are designed to match to ensure a consistent, high-quality design appearance across the web page or web site.

Unlike other theme or style systems that are fixed and inflexible, SmartThemes can be customized. So if you want a different font, or colour scheme or texture then change it once, and all related elements automatically update. And this is where SmartThemes are really smart - they know the relationship between all the design elements on a page so, for example, if you were to change the colour of one element, it can automatically alter all related elements on the page.

So if I altered the colour of one paragraph heading on this page to be dark green, then all the text and graphics would be re-created to use shades of dark-green. A process that would take a professional designer probably an hour, can be done by you in thirty seconds with just a single edit.

If you don't like look of your chosen SmartTheme, then you can easily select an alternative design, and your entire page will be re-created in the new theme.

SmartThemes remove the need for you to be both a graphic designer and an expert in graphics software. ZyWeb takes care of the complex processes of anti-aliasing, transparency and JPEG and GIF without you having to know what any of it means. Without this you'd have to be an expert, or employ one.
