I am a student of electrical engineering and
one of my hobbys is R/C - Car - Racing. I built and drive for about 10
years Electric - Offroad - R/C - Cars. At the moment a drive as a german
team - driver a S.P.O.R.T.
Yokomo 4WD and a Team Losi XX 2WD.

EVOLUTION Motors, a HEL
DIGITAL 3000 speed - controller and
the elektric power is provided by MEGA NSCRC SP -
batteries.

How does the IMW Motorchecker work
- The IMW Motorchecker is a flywheel - motorchecker.
The motor is powered with a electronicly regulated, simulated NiCd - battery
and accelerats a flywheel, which is mounted on the motorshaft, from standstill
until the maximum R.P.M. of the motor.
- During this process the current, voltage and R.P.M.
is measured.
- The torque is calculated from the acceleration of
the flywheel, and the mechanical power is callculated from the torque with
the depending R.P.M.. The efficiency is the relation of the mechanical
power and the electrical power, which is calculated from the current and
voltage.

with electronicly regulated, simulated NiCd - battery
- Input secure against reverse voltage, currentlimit
at 110 A
- Measuring current and voltage with a digital resoltion
of 12 Bit
- Measuring R.P.M. with optical reflexsensor with 24
Bit Resoltion
- Data transfer to PC over serial interface - port (
RS 232 )
The IMW Motorchecker includes
- Holding device for motor with R.P.M. - sensor and
fixing material
- Flywheeel with fixing material an relex marks
- Interfacebox with regulating device for elektronic
simulated NiCd - battery and data collection, with D-SUB (9 contacts) serial
interface cable to PC and adapter cable for motor and battery

For using the IMW Motorchecker you need the following
accessories
- PC better then 386dx 25Mhz VGA Grafikkarte, 640k RAM,
3,5" floppy, harddisk one parallel port for printer one serial port
for IMW Motorchecker
- System software MS - DOS 5.0 up, Windows 3.xx or Windows
95
- Printer for grafic printing - HP Laserjet, HP Deskjet,
IBM kompatible
- Power supply 12 Volt automotive( lead) - batterie
with 120 A maximum current or 10 - cells NiCd - battery Sanyo 1700 N-SCRC
