"The F.B.I.A. website"

The "Fashion & Beauty Internet Association" F.B.I.A. website is now going up. Information on the procedures for nominating a site for the "Best of Fashion & Beauty on the Net" awards will be on-line shortly. Membership in the association is open to all fashion and beauty sites on the internet.

We are looking for "interns" with backgrounds in graphic design in an HTML enviroment who are interested in helping us design and maintain a world class site. Those interested please contact us via e-mail.

    "50 Years of the Bikini"

    Jantzen Swimwear show at Laura Belle this August 7 drew a good crowd. It was "resort week" in New York but there were not too many formal shows this year. However, The Look On-Line was there to bring you photo highlights of this special collection and some comments about the evening.

The "Elvira of Fashion" may have finally found her niche. Our suggestion is she get together with Benjamin Liu, co-author of "Unseen Warhol" and professional fashion victim, and set up a PR firm. Now these two know everything about the wearing and selling of dresses!

"Paris, Milan and New York
Spring'97 Runway Shows"

Beginning next season, The Look On-Line has made a special arrangement with a major fashion photo service to provide our users with runway photos of all of the major French, Italian, as well as the New York RTW shows. 10 "trend" photos from each collection will be available for free on our site within days of the shows. Complete access to photos of every outfit from every show, including accessories and beauty

shots, are going to be accessible via a password to users for a fee of $99 per season. That is $99 total for all three markets - Paris, Milan and New York! Higher resolution images suitable for publication will also be made available for those editors who want them at $50.00 per custom scan.

In addition, The Look On-Line will offer, at the next meeting of the F.B.I.A., a proposal for limited free access to all of the runway pictures to members as a benefit to belonging to the association.

Meanwhile, view runway highlights now from the New York fall 1996 show of Versus by Versace Collection. Our sources tell us that for the Spring 1997 shows we can expect to see alot more French and Italian designers showing at Bryant Park.
