Social forecasts

I propose that we initiate regular Social and Cultural Forecasts on TV. Almost the only frequent futures broadcast on TV at present is the weather forecast, mostly it is news of the past. Young people particularly see the future as largely dominated by mass media and especially by TV News. It seems clear that all of us are socially conditioned not to have future thoughts, and, if the ideas are future-based, to ignore them.

I believe we need a revolution, a new way of looking at life and culture, a deeper understanding of the fact that all of us can help make the branches of the 'futures tree.'
