Nurses responsible for individual patients

Miss Rebecca Malby, 25, a project officer from Waltham Forest Health Authority, received the Cosmopolitan Woman of Tomorrow award. She has devised a new approach to hospital care in which patients are assigned to nurses who are individually responsible for them from admission to discharge.
