A way to prevent telesales calls

Telephone salespeople are the bane of many telephone users' lives. British Telecom has now acted to cut off unwanted double-glazing callers and similar, for both business and personal phone lines.

The Telephone Preference Service means that customers can keep their numbers off lists sold by marketing companies, so that, at least in the longer term, the number of such calls should diminish.

Contact Telephone Preference Service on 0800 398 893 to be sent a form to sign.
