A jog every hour when driving

'I had to set the alarm clock to go off every hour to warn us it was time to relax by pulling into a side road and going for a jog'

Laurence was driving us to Scotland. I had to set the alarm clock to go off every hour to warn us it was time to relax by pulling into a side road and going for a jog. We had about ten jogs in all. It was refreshing and prevented our 'Chi' energy from becoming stagnant.

We arrived hours late but bright-eyed.

All we have to do now is to make Jog Driving trendy. Imagine it, bevies of long distance lorry drivers tripping gaily around the transport cafe or whole families plus granny and dog strung out along the A1.

The National Playing Fields Association has called for Playbys, roadside 'leisure stops' along motorways, with exercise equipment to help drivers relax.

Our system cost nothing except time and perhaps a little dignity.
