Prescription drug info by phone

Based on a item in the Examiner (USA; July '92) monitored for the Institute by Roger Knights.

In the States, members of the public can phone 1 900 680 7771 - this number is unobtainable from the UK - and can then dial in the first five letters of a generic or brand name drug. They will then hear a two to five minute tape (at $1-50 a minute) that will tell them full details of the drug.
