The meaning of 'Namaste'

Allegra Taylor, author of 'Acquainted with the Night', began a talk to the Natural Death Centre with the Nepalese greeting 'Namaste', and this is the meaning that she feels is infolded in the word:

'I honour that place in you where the whole Universe resides'

'I honour that place in you where the whole Universe resides. And when I am in that place in me and you are in that place in you, there is only one of us.'
