THE "NOTINGHAM, ENGLAND" RITUAL ABUSE CASE

There was a child abuse investigation in Nottingham, UK, which apparently resulted in a debacle. A Government inquiry was held to determine the reasons for the botched investigation. The inquiry blamed Ray Wyer, a Satanic abuse "expert". The report said that the interviewing and therapy techniques which he taught were faulty, and the resultant evidence reflected social workers' obsessions. The report concluded that "unless action was taken, witch-hunts could develop in this country and grave injustice result".

It appears that the inquiry was correct. A few years later, Mr. Wyer gave a three day, joint agency training program to social workers and police in the Pembroke, West Wales area. Shortly after the program, children in the area started disclosing stories of ritual abuse. This resulted in the largest Multi-victim, Multi-offender (MVMO) ritual abuse trial in British history.
