HELP IF YOU HAVE A CRISIS PREGNANCY
If you don't know what to do or where to turn, you might seek
counselling that will explore all of your options by:
- Phoning your local Planned Parenthood Federation clinic. You can find
the number of the clinic closest to you by calling 1-800-230-PLAN. this is
a toll free call; no record will appear on the phone bill. In Canada, call
1-613-226-3234. This is a long distance call and will be printed on your
bill.
- Phoning a clinic listed in the yellow or white pages under "Abortion"
- Phone your local distress/crisis/suicide prevention/community information
centre; they usually have an information data base on local agencies and
should be able to direct you to a suitable agency; ask for an referral that
will counsel you in all of your options
- Phone a Sexual Assault Crisis Centre to determine the name of a suitable
agency
If you are experiencing a "crisis pregnancy" and feel that an abortion is
not an option for you, then you can get support by:
- Phoning a local Crisis Pregnancy Centre
- Phoning an agency listed in the yellow or white pages under "Abortion
Alternatives"
- Phone your local distress/crisis/suicide prevention/community information
centre; ask for the number of a "pro-life" pregnancy centre.
