32-bit Acorn Gaming
Sega 8-bit Emulator
Older, Faster Version

This version of the emulator runs about 2.5 times too slowly on an ARM 710 40MHz processor, and about 1.5 to 2 times too quickly on a StrongARM, unlike the current version which slows games down to the correct speed when not in full-screen mode. This emulator won't run properly on any pre-Risc PC machine, I'm afraid (but it would be too slow anyway, so this doesn't really matter). If you try the colours won't work correctly, and you may have other problems.

The underlying emulator itself does provide some sound emulation, but this is not in this old version. A partial implementation is in the current beta-test/release version.

About This Version

This version is version 0.16 (a port of version 0.80 of the original emulator), and it requires the Acorn Toolbox to be installed on your machine. You don't need to use the front-end if you don't want to, however.
