Hints & Tips

Click here to see the text version of the Sim City 2000 FAQ (Frequently Asked Question List), as mentioned in the Acorn User games page a couple of months ago.

Below are some cheats for the Acorn version of Sim City (Just type the word during game play.):

CASS-Money or a disaster (15% chance of a disaster)

FUND-$10,000 bond (at 25% interest)

JOKE- a Joke

Note:

When you use the "cass" cheat, your city may become over-run with churches-so you have been warned!

Some Pre-Built Cities

These cities were downloaded from an internet site and are zipped, so you will need !Spark or an equivalent to decompress them. Once you have decompressed the cities, copy them into one of the "Saved" folders inside the !SC2000 app then you will be able to load them in the normal way from in the game. These cities are also compatible with the PC version of the game.

FallingWater City- if you like watertown you'll love this city. This city is placed in the middle of a waterfall. Almost 120,000 sim are living, I'm trying to bring it up maybe you can (30Kb).

Water Rail IV - A city that has railroads in water? It has a very unusual style of pumping water. (No ghost pump, in this city) (32Kb)

Disaster City - A city with a lot of room to build with, and a chance to build Arco's. (36Kb)

Rio de Janeiro - What can I say, but it speaks for it self. (49Kb)

Washington - A city based on Washington (40Kb)

Canyon - A very mountainous city. This one was not from the same site as the ones above (41Kb).

I have also put together my own collection of cities which includes the above cheat mods and also a screen shot of the game and 4 more cities that are not included above. All of this is contained within a nice, tidy app. This has been compressed using arcfs.

Click here to save !Cities v1.00 (360Kb).
