TableMate was first released in November 1992.

Computer Concepts

In 1994, a new version, TableMate 1.1 was bundled with Impression Style and Publisher from Computer Concepts, and is still supplied free-of-charge by them with all versions of Impression.

TableMate 2 and 3

Later in 1994, we released TableMate 2, which enhanced the product considerably, and the success of TableMate has continued with TableMate 3 (May 1995), 3.1 (November 1995), and 3.2 (May 1996).

Overview

TableMate 3 is a table creation package. Unlike a spreadsheet, TableMate uses the same ruler-and-row system that a wordprocessor or DTP package would use, which makes a more consistent (and therefore attractive) appearance of your table easier to create.

TableMate works with your wordprocessor or DTP package using the OLE editing system. This means that your table works inside your document just like any other graphic, but a simple click from the mouse can bring up TableMate to edit it.

TableMate gives you full control over text, cell (or box) and line (or ruleoff) appearance, with joining and merging tools to create headings across columns and/or rows. Reviews in the press have consistently praised TableMate's seamless marriage of ease-of-use with considerable flexibility in presentation.
