Use the appropriate procedure for your operating system to check the Comtrol device driver version using the Device Manager.
- Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012:
  1. Open Windows Metro Start.
  2. Right-click any blank area and select All Apps.
  3. Right-click Computer.
  4. In the lower left corner select Properties.
  5. Click Device Manager.
- Windows 7 and Windows Vista:
  1. Click Start.
  2. Right-click Computer.
  3. Click Manage.
  4. Click Device Manager.
- Windows Server 2008 R2:
  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Comtrol Panel.
  3. Change View by at the top to Large icons.
  4. Click Device Manager.
- Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP (Logged into a Domain Controller):
  1. Right-click My Computer.
  2. Click Manage.
  3. Click the Device Manager button.
- Windows XP (Not logged into a Domain Controller):
  1. Right-click My Computer.
  2. Click Manage.
  3. Click Device Manager.
Expand the Multi-port serial adapters entry, right-click the DeviceMaster and then click Properties.
Click the Driver tab to view the device driver version.
