Already does so using UAE.

It's a question of what you want to do, really.

If you dont play games or use old software that much, but rather want something
you can walk down to nearest computers-R-us and get parts for, without months
of waiting and wasted money, then a PoP solution is better. Remember that even
if you get a new box, you an still continue to use the oldfor whatever you need
it for.

I would love to see AmigaOS on a PPC platform, but I find it most unlikely.
Second best then is to get UAE running on some decent platform, Linux on PPC
suits me just fine, I guess QNX could also work. And I would prefer if this
didnt need to use X, something like GGI couldwork I assume.

OK, so now we have this PPC box with linux on, running UAE and amigaOS ontop
in reasonable speed, not exactly a o6o, but not too slow either. What next?
How about makeing a warpup (or powerup) that runs as a daemon on the host
linux OS, perhaps buildt into UAE, that will provides the WarpUP (or PowerUP)
API to the Amiga side. Along with this one can start integrating the Amiga
frontend with the underlying host OS, provide API for accessing superuser
restricted parts of the underlying OS, create Amiga GUI based tools for
setting up the host OS, make protocols to communicate with the linux kernel,
and develop a cross-platform messaging systems (rebol fits in nicely here,
I think, but also other languages). To sum it up, do what Jim Collas
described before he was brought to silence.

Heck, I've started years ago already, I control alot of the functionality
on my a12oo linux box from dopus on my a3k, using rsh/ssh and various.
Oh and people are impressed when I double click an MP3 in a dopus lister
on my a6oo and the music is playd crisp and clear on the sound system
with no CPU overhead from the a6oo itself :)

I would love to see more skilled developers play with stuff like this as
well, all that is needed is some linux box and an amiga, and network between.
It's alot like siamese, only instead of asking windows nicely to use its
resources, you practically rape the linux setup to fit your needs.

Well, this is my view on what desperate amigoids can spend time on. :)
