Yes, they are really compiling very nice. It would really surprise me if they
wouldn't compile with StormC 3.0 ... Doom is no comparing factor if this makes
trouble with some old compiler versions :) (But the trouble Joe had also is
fixed since - well, around a year i think).

Yes, i think the best would be using the upcoming MiniGL for the Warp3D
Support.
