Because you are not using the CyberGraphX picture.datatype :) Seriously
though, after seeing your message I have done some testing and have
found that greyscale jpegs do not work with the P96 and OS3.5 picture
datatype. My fault (only tested greyscale jpegs on my CGX pic dt :(
I'll release a fixed version soon.
