Electro-Magnetic Pulse, a powerful magnetic pulse that would likely blank a
harddrive, these are often caused by nuclear explosions (which would also be
annoying to be around).

Not much use if you aren't prone to accidental quick-formatting...

Unless the problem is something like accidentally erasing your root directory,
a problem I have to deal with on two fronts myself...
(faster deleting isn't always a nice thing, especially when your recovering
ability is limited)
