I had truely assumed that WbCtrl was an AmigaDOS command. Especially with the way everyone here typed about it; obviously familiar with the command. I put it in the beginning of my User-Startup and my boot went smoothly (or so I thought). Later someone mentioned 'wbctrl q' can be used to show current settings.

I tried it in a shell an got a file not found response. I was surprised. WbCtrl was not running. I watch my Amiga boot and found the 'file not found' message scrolled by during the boot. I guess I expected the system boot to stop on an error. Another poor assumption.

I looked around. It wasn't in C:, Tools:, System: or Utilities:. I finally found WbCtrl as part of the BootBag1 distribution. Yes there is a doc file there and yes I read it. WbCtrl is install and working, though I would be happier if 'WbCtrl q' reported FAST for IMT and Icon IMT. It seems to report ANY even if FAST was the given argument.

Sometimes it's not as easy as saying RTFM. Which manual? Exactly where?
Which version? What exactly am I loking for because I read the manual and obviously I missed something? The questions could go on.

Remember, the person you help now may be lost on this one topic but they may be the ones providing you the answers in your own time of need.

Leon
