Try this one then. In your startup-sequence launch a script right after your
user-startup calling it something like network-startup. Inside of this script
make all of the appropriate assigns as if you were setting them up in the U-S
but instead also launching the programs as well with either appicons or some
form of tool bar or menu selection. I've taken this a step further but using
a program from the aminet to detect the middle mouse button and if depressed
log onto my ISP and startup my email. From a cold boot I can generally be connected
to the net and ready to go with my browser in about seven to ten seconds, on
a warm boot it takes about five tops. Also I have StrICQ open iconified whenever
I connect to the net and to close itself when Miami closes connection. I've
combined all of my internet and networking tools together using arexx scripts
which it has gotten to a point where it really feels as though the TCP stack
is completely integrated since I never see the interface once (unless I need
to modify it in any way).
